Work it out Wednesday > #19.5 Hip Hop edition

For the most part, I am not a huge hip hop, rap or R&B fan. At any given time there might be one good mainstream hip hop or R&B song out on the radio that I like, but more often than not there isn’t much I enjoy. (I own a few Kanye West albums and have been known to get down to Rihanna, but still… not a very extensive collection in my music library.)

But lately I’ve noticed an unusually frequent amount of instances where I’ve heard a hip hop song while flipping through the radio and stopped and enjoy it.I think this might be the my summer of hip hop.

Here are some of the hip hop tunes I’m digging right now:

Dynamite – Taio Cruz

Love the Way You Lie – Eminem featuring Rihanna

Cooler – Mike Poisner

Airplanes – B.o.B.featuring Haley Williams

Break Your Heart – Taio Cruz & Ludacris

Find Your Love – Drake

No hump song next week due to vacation in Mexico. So it’s double the trouble this week. A newbie and an oldie.

The Rabbit – Miike Snow

Cobrastyle – Robyn

Not only is this a fun song but a fun new band (Thanks Katie!) but it’s a pretty amazingly weird but entertaining music video. Enjoy!

Introducing a new weekly blog post. Pretty simple… the gift of song from me to you to celebrate hump day. I can’t promise I’ll always post the real video, sometimes they’re not available and sometimes I might just find something better.

Calvin Harris – Flashback (Eric Prydz Remix)
