Back in January I wrote a post highlighting the four albums I listened to during my vacation to Hawai’i. One of the albums included was the most recent release from Florence and the Machine and I featured my favorite track (Spectrum) for your listening pleasure. The song was just released as the bands latest single along with a few remixes, including one by Calvin Harris (EDM is hot ‘n’ mainstream ya’ll) so I thought it was worthy of a hump day celebration. Enjoy!

Happy Hump Day! Brooklyn-based electronic pop trio-turned-duo Chairlift released their third album earlier this year and it’s full of great tracks including their first three singles Amanaemonesia, Sidewalk Safari and Met Before. (You might be more familiar with their song Bruises which was featured in a 2008 iPod Nano commercial.) My favorite track from the new album is the head bopping, love gushing I Belong In Your Arms.

The last week has been full of ups and downs. Let’s celebrate making it to Hump Day with a slick Wolfgang Gartner remix of a brand new song by Miike Snow, from their highly anticipated upcoming album.

You’ve most likely heard My Body by Young the Giant. Pretty good song. But maybe you haven’t heard the Two Door Cinema Club remix?

There have been some really great songs by The Rapture including Get Myself Into It and Whoo! Alright – Yeah… Uh-huh. There have also been some really great remixes of songs by The Rapture from their 2011 album, In The Grace of Your Love, including How Deep Is Your Love, remixed by A-Track  (which I featured on my Favorite Songs of 2011 holiday cd mix for friends) and the following track, Sail Away, remixed by one of my favorite electronic groups, Cut Copy. The Rapture is one of the many acts I’m looking forward to checking out at Coachella!

Here’s a super fun find from one of my last.fm stations. I don’t think there’s a Fred Falke remix I don’t like… crank it up!

I’ve never been a big fan of The Whitest Boy Alive (they sorta put me to sleep) but I am all over this Fred Faulk remix (completely different than the original) thanks to Katie Carroll‘s Yosemite mix #2!
