a raucous good time

Here are some of my favorite excerpt’s from a review of the Foster the People show at The Fillmore on Thursday night… (I was at the show on Friday.)

“The hourlong concert — the first in a two-night stand at San Francisco’s most legendary rock club — was a raucous good time from start to finish. The crowd ate up every synthesized note of Foster the People’s smart indie-pop/electronica mix…

His vocals were boiled in blue-eyed soul, especially whenever he reached up for his falsetto, and so unlike anything else heard on modern-rock radio. They’re uncommonly slick, forming an uneasy (but enticing) match with the robotic sounds pulsating from the keyboards and percussion.”

It was certainly one of the most fun shows I’ve been to in a long time. And we got a poster!
