29 Days of Giving: Day 2 – $1 for random homeless person

I don’t give money to homeless people on a regular basis. But when I do, I usually give spare change to the same two people outside my building. One has a dog and one has a cat. I can’t help but feel bad for the animals. Even though I know the reason the homeless person probably gets the pet is because people will feel bad and donate more.

Anyway, I decided to walk outside work today and give $1 to the first homeless person I saw. It ended up being a crazy, stumbling woman, probably half drunk, wrapped up in a Winnie the Pooh blanket, smoking a cigarette.

She got my dollar. She said god bless me. Day 2 complete!
