Pretty pretty princess

We spent the better half of today in beeeauuutiful Sedona, Arizona today. I obviously expected it to be easy on the eyes but had no idea, especially since it was dark when we rolled in late last night. We slept in, ate a late brunch, and went and snapped some pictures at the Chapel of the Holy Cross (built into the side of a big red rock cliff and designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, we think – can anyone confirm?). Then we tackled a rather tiring 1.5 mile hike up to the top of Cathedral Rock. We were greeted at the top by a cute little French guy visiting Sedona but going to school in El Paso. We took pictures for each other and we asked him if he had any recommendations for things to do or places to eat in El Paso since it’s one of our stops along the way to Austin. He gave a confused look and pondered for a minute. The only thing he could conjure up was Chico’s Tacos which he admitted “is not so good really.”

Oh dear.

  1. Wiki Wiki: The Chapel of the Holy Cross is an iconic Catholic chapel built into the mesas of Sedona, Arizona, designed by architect and sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright.
