In honor of my birthday today, March 31, the greatest day in the history of man, I decided to add myself to the notable births list on the March 31 Wikipedia page. Unfortunately, since I don’t have a full page to link to (like apparently every other notable person born on March 31) my mention was removed within 23 seconds. Screw you Wikipedia. One day you’ll be sorry.

Imagine the shock (and joy) I felt today when I walked into work and discovered that my barren money tree has begun sprouting Cheetos.

Every 30 minutes, every day at work, I get an email with queries from reporters looking for sources for pieces they’re working on. Usually they’re pretty lame like “I’m looking for an enterprise software CEO to talk about trends in virtualization and data warehousing,” but sometimes there are some pretty entertaining ones. Here’s a fun one I received today:
“I’m writing an article about women who have experienced orgasm during labor, for a well-known pregnancy Web site. If you’re interested in being quoted, or want to anonymously share your story, please e-mail me a short description of what you experienced. Experts, please e-mail me a quote on the topic. Contact: Amy Levine, askamynyc@gmail.com.”
